Designer Jill Rolling, along with her husband Brooks, started Black Birch Homes, with the intent on bringing design to the forefront of the custom home building experience. Jill's love of design and the idea of helping more clients achieve the ''Black Birch'' feel in their homes, was the start of Birch Design Co. A full-service interior design company, specializing in E-design services to help clients worldwide take their designs to the next level. Along with her amazing design assistant, Caroline, Jill's vision of making good design accessible has become a reality. Modern-European, cozy, moody, lived-in spaces describe her aesthetic best.

Jill is an award-winning designer with over a decade of experience specializing in new construction homes. Known for her keen eye for design and meticulous attention to detail, she helps clients bring their dream homes to life—each one thoughtfully tailored with personalized touches and distinctive features that set them apart.

From the earliest planning stages through architectural selections, interior design, and final décor, Jill is involved every step of the way, ensuring a seamless and inspired experience. Her work blends function with beauty, delivering spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal.

In addition to her residential design work, Jill is the visionary behind a newly launched furniture line, further showcasing her talent for crafting pieces that balance elegance, comfort, and originality.

Caroline Huebner

Birch Design Co. Designer

Caroline brings years of experience in the construction and design industry to her role at Birch Design Co. As a talented designer and our go-to for all things social media, she combines creativity and expertise to help clients bring their vision to life—with that signature Black Birch touch.

Caroline is passionate about designing spaces that are both beautiful and meaningful, ensuring each project reflects the unique personality and lifestyle of her clients. Whether she’s curating finishes or styling the final details, her thoughtful approach and warm personality make the design process both fun and seamless.

When she’s not working her design magic, Caroline enjoys spending time at home with her husband, their two kiddos, and their pup.

Karson DeGroote

Interior Designer

Karson is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Interior Design. She brings creativity, technical skill, and a strong attention to detail to every project. Working closely with Jill and Caroline, Karson is continually expanding her industry knowledge through hands-on experience. She plays a key role in the E-Design process, using advanced design software to create realistic renderings that help clients visualize and feel confident in their finished spaces.
